(Baonghean.vn) - After coming home from drinking and reeking of alcohol, the couple argued and had a conflict. Unable to control his anger, the husband poured gasoline on his wife, causing a fierce fire. Hearing her screams, neighbors living nearby rushed over to help. Immediately afterward, everyone promptly took the wife to the Military Region 4 Hospital for emergency treatment in critical condition.

After pouring gasoline on his wife, Tien suffered internal bleeding and was taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At around 10:30 a.m. on November 7, Pham Van Tien, born in 1979, residing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, came home from drinking, reeking of alcohol. He staggered into the house and saw Nguyen Thi Nguyen (Tien's wife) cooking in the kitchen. Seeing her husband drunk, Nguyen raised her voice and the two argued with each other. Feeling intoxicated, Tien was so angry that he could not control his anger and poured gasoline on his wife. Because Nguyen was standing near the stove, the fire quickly caught on her and burned fiercely.

Hearing the screams, the villagers living nearby ran over to help put out the fire. Immediately after, Ms. Nguyen was taken to the Military Region 4 Hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors said that Ms. Nguyen suffered severe burns on her arms, back, and buttocks. Because the wound was so severe and prone to infection, the victim was transferred to the National Burn Institute in Hanoi for treatment that same afternoon.

Upon receiving the news, Nghi Loc District Police promptly arrived at the scene and detained Tien to serve the investigation.

At the investigation agency, due to pre-existing cirrhosis, on the evening of November 8, Tien suddenly suffered from internal bleeding and was transferred by the police to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

It is known that Tien and his wife have two children together, the older one is 6 years old and the younger one is 4 years old.

The cause of the incident is being further investigated by the agency.
