Man's body found on the banks of Vu Giang river

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 31, according to information from the authorities of Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, a body was discovered lying face down on the riverbank.

The incident was discovered by local residents at around 10:00 p.m. on October 30 on the bank of the Vu Giang River in Phu An hamlet, Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An).

The victim was identified as Pham Cong Chuong (56 years old, residing in hamlet 4, Lien Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district).

According to Mr. Tran Xuan Huong, Chief of Lien Thanh Commune Police, "It is possible that because he was riding his bicycle in the dark, the victim plunged into the riverbank, hit his head on the embankment, leading to his death."

At 11pm the same day, Yen Thanh district police arrived to examine the scene, and the body was handed over to the family to take home for burial.
