Apply the tips below to remove bruises.

Ice pack

When you hit the edge of a table and feel a sharp pain, you know for sure that there will be a blue, purple or black bruise in that place in 1-2 days.

Don’t wait to see if a bruise appears, as it may be too late. Use a plastic bag filled with ice and place it on the sore spot immediately, or use a cold pack filled with blue liquid sold at drug stores, put it in the freezer for a few hours and then apply it to the wound (this is easier to use and less watery than a plastic bag filled with ice, works just as well, but is more expensive).

Roll the egg

Chicken eggs are very effective in dissolving bruises. On the surface of the egg there are tiny holes - very small pipes leading to the yolk. When used, they are usually boiled and then rolled on the bruise, so the egg is still quite hot.

Therefore, it will have suction pressure on the yellow core. Persistently do this method, the bruise will disappear quickly.

Apply ice to the painful area for 15 minutes, remove it for 15 minutes, and apply it again for 15 minutes…continue doing this for several hours immediately after the injury. According to Dr. Hugh M. (Aspen Hospital Emergency Department, Colorado), ice has the effect of constricting the capillaries leading to the wound, preventing much blood from reaching it.

A bruise is caused by blood pooling around an injury. The less blood reaching the injury, the smaller the bruise will be. In addition, cold also numbs the area, reducing pain.

Heat it up the next day.

After applying ice to the bruise, you can rest assured that it will not appear blue or purple the next day in mild cases. In severe cases, you may still see the bruise, but it will usually be pale and small.

This is when you can use heat to quickly make the bruise disappear. Use a towel soaked in very hot water, wring it out and apply it to the bruise; rinse it off when it cools down; do this continuously for 1 to 2 hours depending on the size of the bruise.

Dr. Sheldon P. (Duke University School of Medicine) explains that heat helps blood circulate through the bruise faster, and thus makes the bruise disappear faster. This theory is probably not too strange. In Vietnam, you have seen people rub hot oil on bruises. This action is for no other purpose than to help blood circulate faster…

Anyway, the combination of cold and hot is definitely better than just using hot oil alone.

Use vitamin C

Vitamin C is also one of the most effective bruise removers. According to research from the University of North Carolina, people with low levels of vitamin C in their bodies bruise more easily and bruises take longer to heal.

Vitamin C builds protective layers of collagen in the body. These layers are thinner on the feet, hands, and face; that’s why bruises in these areas tend to be more likely, darker, and take longer to fade.

So, if you find yourself bruising more easily than others, it's not because your skin is "more toxic", but because of your habit of consuming less vitamin C.

To reduce bruising, you can consume about 1,500 mg of vitamin C per day. If you want to take that much vitamin C, you need to get your doctor's approval. If you are reluctant to see a doctor, try to consume more foods rich in vitamin C, such as citrus fruits and dark green vegetables.

Vinegar

Cut a few slices of dried onion, mix with apple cider vinegar and apply to the bruised skin. Few people know that apple cider vinegar is very effective in treating inflammation, swelling, and bruises.

Simply soak a small cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply it directly to the wound or mix it with egg whites to apply to the bruise.
