Thanh Hung Commune (Thanh Chuong): Receiving the certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards

(Baonghean.vn)- On December 26, 2015, the People's Committee of Thanh Hung Commune (Thanh Chuong) held a ceremony to receive the commune meeting new rural standards in 2015.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Dang Anh Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Que - Chairman of the District People's Committee and representatives of leaders and people of Thanh Chuong district and Thanh Hung commune attended the ceremony.

Many people attended the ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as meeting the new rural standards.

After 5 years of building new rural areas, Thanh Hung has mobilized 71,892 billion VND to build welfare works.,in which people contributed: 18,223 billion VND. Invested in upgrading 10.4 km of commune roads, 36.28 km of village roads and 13.1 km of intra-field roads.

Ensure that 100% of communal and inter-communal roads are asphalted or concreted. 70% of village roads are hardened. 100% of alley roads are clean and not muddy in the rainy season. 70% of main intra-field roads are hardened, making it convenient for motor vehicles to travel.

The irrigation system from the pumping station and the canal system has been solidified with concrete, basically meeting the needs of production and people's lives, ensuring proactive irrigation (the whole commune has 12.5 km of canals, of which 10.9 km have been solidified).

People's lives are constantly improving, average income per capita in 2014 was 22.6 million VND; in 2015 it is estimated to reach 26.3 million VND.

The poverty rate as of October 2014 was 5.1%, estimated to reach 4.5% by July 2015. Jobs have been created for rural workers with over 92% having regular jobs. 80% of households have houses that meet the standards of the Ministry of Construction, no more temporary or dilapidated houses.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the decision to recognize and reward the unit meeting the NTM standards to the representative of the commune leadership.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting the new rural standards and a reward of 500 million VND to the Thanh Hung Commune People's Committee. Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were also awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. On this occasion, 3 collectives and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements were also awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong praised and congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Hung commune on achieving the title of new rural commune; requested the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district to consider this as an advanced model to direct and launch a widespread emulation movement throughout the district.

Organize for communes in the district to visit, study, share and draw experiences in the process of directing and implementing of Thanh Hung commune to have lessons learned to be widely replicated in the whole district. At the same time, request the commune to continue to pay attention to directing and maintaining the improvement of the quality of the criteria in the coming time.
