Thanh Hung Commune (Thanh Chuong District): Receives certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune.

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 26, 2015, the People's Committee of Thanh Hung commune (Thanh Chuong district) held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as having achieved the new rural standard in 2015.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Dang Anh Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Que - Chairman of the District People's Committee, along with representatives of the leadership and people of Thanh Chuong district and Thanh Hung commune, attended the ceremony.

A large number of people attended the ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as having met the standards of a New Rural Area.

After 5 years of building new rural areas, Thanh Hung has mobilized 71.892 billion VND to construct welfare facilities.,Of this amount, the people contributed 18.223 billion VND. This investment resulted in the upgrading of 10.4 km of commune-level main roads, 36.28 km of village-level main roads, and 13.1 km of internal field roads.

Ensure 100% of commune and inter-commune roads are asphalted or concreted. 70% of village and hamlet roads are hardened. 100% of alleyways are clean and not muddy during the rainy season. 70% of main roads within agricultural fields are hardened, allowing convenient access for motorized vehicles.

The irrigation system, from the pumping station to the canal system, has been reinforced with concrete, basically meeting the needs of production and daily life, ensuring proactive irrigation (the entire commune has 12.5 km of canals, of which 10.9 km have been concreted).

People's living standards have continuously improved, with average annual per capita income reaching 22.6 million VND in 2014 and estimated to reach 26.3 million VND in 2015.

The poverty rate as of October 2014 was 5.1%, estimated to reach 4.5% by July 2015. Employment has been created for rural workers, with over 92% having regular jobs. 80% of households have housing that meets the standards of the Ministry of Construction; there are no longer any temporary or dilapidated houses.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the decision recognizing and awarding the unit as meeting the standards of the New Rural Area program to the representative of the commune's leadership.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Certificate of Recognition for achieving the New Rural Standard and a reward of 500 million VND to the People's Committee of Thanh Hung Commune. Outstanding collectives and individuals also received commendations from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. On this occasion, 3 collectives and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements also received commendations from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong District.

Awards were presented to 3 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the New Rural Development movement.

Comrade Nguyen Van Que - Chairman of the District People's Committee - presented certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the New Rural Development movement.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong praised and congratulated the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hung commune for achieving the title of a new-style rural commune; he requested that the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee consider this a model to guide and launch a vibrant and widespread emulation movement throughout the district.

Organize visits for communes in the district to learn from and share experiences in the leadership and implementation process of Thanh Hung commune, so that lessons can be applied on a wider scale throughout the district.
