Passenger kicked off plane by flight attendant for being Muslim

A flight attendant “felt uncomfortable” with a Muslim woman on the flight and kicked her off without explanation.

According to News reported on April 17, a Muslim woman named Hakima Abdulle was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight at Chicago airport (USA) as soon as she changed seats. According to Ms. Zainab Chaudry, spokeswoman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Ms. Abdulle is of Somali origin, wearing a headscarf, and was traveling alone to Seattle (USA) to visit relatives.

During the trip,Abdulle asked the male passenger sitting next to her if she could move to an aisle seat. The passenger agreed, but the flight attendant did not. When asked why she could not change seats, the flight attendant did not explain and askedAbdulleIt was only when the police asked why Abdulle was being kicked out that the flight attendant said she “didn’t feel comfortable.”

Abdulle was later rebooked on another flight. Ms Chaudry called for the matter to be clarified because the flight attendant had humiliated Abdulle in front of other passengers and for the airline to refund her ticket.

Earlier, a family of five said they were racially discriminated against by United Airlines and had to leave the plane, also at Chicago airport (USA). In the clip posted online by Ms. Eaman-Amy Saad Shebley, a family member, and received more than 630,000 shares, the father asked the pilot why they had to leave the plane, but only received the answer: "Because it was my decision."
