A flight attendant “felt uncomfortable” with a Muslim woman on the flight and kicked her off without explanation.

According to News reported on April 17, a Muslim woman named Hakima Abdulle was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight at the Chicago airport (USA) as soon as she changed her seat. According to Ms. Zainab Chaudry, spokesperson for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Ms. Abdulle is of Somali descent, wearing a headscarf, and was traveling alone to Seattle (USA) to visit relatives.

During the trip,Abdulle asked the male passenger sitting next to her if she could move to an aisle seat. The passenger agreed, but the flight attendant did not. When asked why she could not change seats, the flight attendant did not explain and askedAbdulleleft the plane. It was only when the police asked why Abdulle was kicked out that the flight attendant said she “didn’t feel comfortable.”

Abdulle was later rebooked on another flight. Ms Chaudry called for the matter to be clarified because the flight attendant had humiliated Abdulle in front of other passengers, and the airline to refund her ticket.

Earlier, a family of five said they were racially discriminated against by United Airlines and had to leave the plane, also at the Chicago airport (USA). In a clip posted online by family member Eaman-Amy Saad Shebley and shared more than 630,000 times, the father asked the pilot why they had to leave the plane, but received the answer: "Because it was my decision."
