Male flight attendant arrested for stealing Hermes bag worth over 600 million VND from lover
After spending the night at his lover's house, the male flight attendant got greedy and stole her Hermes handbag worth hundreds of millions of dong.
On the afternoon of June 27, Hoang Mai District Police (Hanoi) announced that they had initiated a criminal case, prosecuted and temporarily detained Do Xuan Truong (born in 1996, in Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem District) for theft of property.
Police determined that Do Xuan Truong was a male flight attendant who had a love affair with a woman 3 years older than him who was married and had children.
On April 29, after work, Truong brought his personal suitcase to his lover's apartment in Mai Dong ward, Hoang Mai district and stayed overnight.
At around 9am on April 30, after waking up, Truong saw many valuable designer handbags displayed in his lover's bedroom, so he had the idea of stealing them to sell for money.

Taking advantage of the moment when his lover was not paying attention, Truong stole a white Hermes handbag and hid it in his personal suitcase. Having successfully “stolen” the item, Truong leisurely sat outside in the living room waiting for his lover.
At around 8:30 a.m. on May 1, Truong and his lover left the apartment, taking the suitcase with them. Truong then hid the stolen bag at his private home on Xuan Dinh Street (Xuan Dinh Ward).
At around 2:00 p.m. on May 6, Truong's lover discovered that her handbag was missing and went to the police station to report the incident.
At the police station, the victim said he bought this designer handbag in Singapore for 627 million VND.
After verification, the police persuaded Do Xuan Truong to surrender.
Working with the police, Truong confessed to selling the handbag for 260 million VND to a person in Cau Giay district.
