Quynh Luu: Over 4 billion VND spent on restoring Thoi Temple.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 21st, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Thoi Temple.

Thoi Temple in Son Hai commune was built in the late 13th century, dedicated to the Four Holy Mothers and other deities who guard the riverine region. Due to the many ups and downs of history and the ravages of war, Thoi Temple suffered severe damage, with some structures being relocated to other buildings, leaving only a portion of the triple-arched gate remaining.

The delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony.

Driven by the desire to restore Thoi Temple to serve the spiritual and religious needs of the local people, and to pray for peace and blessings for fishermen before each fishing trip, with the permission of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and with the unanimous agreement of the people, Son Hai commune has commenced the construction of Thoi Temple with a budget of over 4 billion VND.

Funding will be mobilized through social resources, primarily contributions from owners of fishing vessels and boat captains. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation after 3 years.
