Hong Thanh Commune receives Certificate for achieving New Rural Area standards.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 1st, Hong Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district(Nghe An)A solemn ceremony was held to announce that the commune had achieved the New Rural Area standard in 2015. Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, along with leaders of Yen Thanh district, attended the ceremony.

The People's Committee of Hong Thanh commune received the certificate recognizing the commune as having met the standards of a new rural area.

Over the five years of implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, Hong Thanh commune mobilized the strength of the entire political system and the consensus of the people to focus on planning and implementing 19 criteria in accordance with each stage. A total of over 230 billion VND was mobilized for investment, and the people voluntarily donated over 38 hectares of residential land and contributed hundreds of man-days to concrete paving 22 km of roads.

Implementing structural transformation in the right direction, raising per capita income to over 28 million VND/year, reducing the poverty rate to 2.7%. The movement "All people unite to build culture in residential areas" and maintaining environmental hygiene are increasingly effective, national defense and security are maintained, and the Party Committee has been recognized as a strong and exemplary Party organization for four consecutive years.

The people of Hong Thanh commune are delighted with this momentous event.

Acknowledging the achievements, on behalf of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the Yen Thanh District People's Council - presented the Certificate recognizing Hong Thanh commune as having met the standards for a new rural area in the 2010-2015 period, along with a reward of 500 million VND for the construction of public welfare facilities for the commune.

On this occasion, Hong Thanh commune had 4 collectives and 5 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province "for outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement and contributing to building new rural areas"; Mr. Nguyen Cong Luong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Thanh commune - was awarded a Certificate of Recognition as an excellent commune chairman at the provincial level; and the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and 6 individuals.
