Princess of Thailand conquers Fansipan peak.
After ascending the mountain by cable car, Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol continued her ascent, climbing over 600 steps to reach the summit of Fansipan before returning to Sa Pa to prepare for the marathon as an athlete.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol, a descendant of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, along with other members of the Thai Royal Family, recently had a memorable experience visiting Fansipan peak by cable car. This was one of the activities she and her delegation participated in before taking part in the 21km international marathon in Sa Pa town (Lao Cai province). At exactly 11:30 AM on September 23rd, the princess and her entourage arrived at the tourist area and quickly proceeded to the cable car station. |

People enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the golden rice paddies in the Muong Hoa valley.Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol is one of the most influential members of the Royal Family, frequently participating in major cultural and political events in Thailand and internationally. She graduated in medicine, holds a doctorate in law from Cornell University, has served as a prosecutor, and has been involved in numerous United Nations health and education projects in Thailand. |

In addition to social activities, the princess particularly enjoys running and mountain climbing, so it's not surprising that she was able to climb over 600 stone steps to the summit in one go, without stopping for rest or assistance from security or medical staff. |

Like most Thais, Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol is a devout Buddhist. She respectfully clasped her hands in prayer before ascending to the summit to visit the highest peak in Indochina. As the first in the group to touch the Fansipan landmark, she said that the feeling of standing on the summit and gazing at the magnificent natural scenery around her was wonderful. |
