Thai princess conquers Fansipan peak

Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol - a descendant of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, along with members of the Thai Royal Family, had a memorable experience when visiting Fansipan peak by cable car. This was one of the activities of her and the delegation before participating in the 21km international marathon in Sa Pa town (Lao Cai).

At exactly 11:30 a.m. on September 23, the princess and her entourage arrived at the tourist area and quickly moved to the cable car station.

The delegation enjoyed the stories about the journey of building this century-old structure during the 15-minute cable car ride.

Everyone enjoyed the brilliant scenery of the golden rice fields in Muong Hoa valley.Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol is one of the influential royal figures who regularly participates in major cultural and political events in Thailand and internationally. She graduated from medical school, has a doctorate in law from Cornell University, was a prosecutor and participated in many activities of the United Nations health and education projects in Thailand.

In addition to social activities, the princess is especially fond of jogging and mountain climbing, so it is not difficult to explain why she can climb more than 600 stone steps leading to the top without stopping or needing the support of security or medical staff.

On the way, the beautiful natural scenery in the sea of ​​clouds made the princess stop many times to admire and take souvenir photos.

Like most Thai people, Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol is also a devout Buddhist. She respectfully clasped her hands to pay homage to Buddha before reaching the highest peak to visit the roof of Indochina. As the first person in the group to touch the Fansipan milestone, she said the feeling of standing on the top and admiring the majestic natural scenery around was wonderful.

Immediately after finishing the journey, the Thai princess and her entourage quickly returned to Sa Pa to prepare for the marathon as an athlete.
