According to Mr. Graham Harrison, drug resistance is caused by many factors, but first of all by the incorrect and unreasonable use of antimicrobial drugs and the consequence is that a microorganism can cause genetic mutations.
Policy makers, health professionals, prescribers, patients, pharmacists and the pharmaceutical industry… all have a responsibility to combat antimicrobial resistance.
Regarding the 5-year plan (2011-2015) of the Vietnamese health sector in strengthening and perfecting the health network... WHO commits to strengthening and supporting the identified areas of the Vietnamese health sector. WHO as well as other international organizations commit to cooperate with the Vietnamese Government to promote further development and improve the health system in all areas.
