The Ban Ve Hydropower Plant has reached the milestone of generating 1 billion kWh of electricity.

(Baonghean) - In Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district (Nghe An province), Ban Ve Hydropower Company recently held a ceremony to announce the achievement of generating 1 billion kWh of electricity in 2011. This is an important milestone, marking the plant's initial contributions to supplementing the electricity shortage in the North Central region and the whole country.

After 18 months of safe, accurate, and economical operation, the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant has now generated 1.319 billion kWh for the national power grid, including 319 million kWh in 2010 and 1 billion kWh from the beginning of this year.
