(Baonghean) - In Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district (Nghe An), Ban Ve Hydropower Company has just held a ceremony to announce the event of generating 1 billion kWh of electricity in 2011. This is an important milestone, marking the initial contributions of the plant to supplement the power source that is lacking in the North Central region and the whole country.
After 18 months of safe, precise and economical operation, to date, Ban Ve Hydropower Plant has generated 1.319 billion kWh to the national grid, of which 319 million kWh were generated in 2010 and 1 billion kWh have been generated since the beginning of the year.
