Many students started flower businesses on International Women's Day, March 8th.
(Baonghean.vn) -From early morning on March 7th, the atmosphere in Vinh City began to liven up in anticipation of International Women's Day on March 8th, with dozens of new flower stalls popping up along streets and alleys, and the gift market at shops equally bustling with diverse offerings.
The street in front of Vinh University is considered the busiest and most diverse flower and gift market. The owners of the newly established flower stalls are mostly students, who run businesses while studying to earn extra money to cover their tuition fees.
Main roads in Vinh City such as Nguyen Van Troi, Ly Tu Trong (the section in front of the Nghe An College of Economics), Le Hong Phong (in front of the College of Education)... also have many new flower stalls.

This year, the market for flowers and gifts is very diverse in terms of types. Mainly roses, carnations, lilies, etc. On average, a regular bouquet costs from 100,000 to 200,000 VND, with many bouquets costing up to 400,000 to 500,000 VND. Besides the flower market, the atmosphere at some shops, supermarkets, and stores welcoming International Women's Day on March 8th is also bustling. The most popular gifts chosen by men are women's t-shirts, shirts, sandals, hats, etc.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, the owner of a clothing store, said: "Because the weather is quite hot this year, customers mainly come here to buy T-shirts and sandals as gifts. To meet the shopping needs of customers, we have opened earlier than usual."
