Many students sell flowers on International Women's Day March 8
(Baonghean.vn) -From early morning on March 7, the atmosphere welcoming International Women's Day on March 8 in Vinh City began to bustle with dozens of new flower shops springing up on the streets and alleys and the gift market at the shops was equally eager and diverse.
The street in front of Vinh University is considered the busiest and most diverse flower and gift market. The owners of the new spontaneous flower shops are mostly students, who study and do business to earn extra money to pay for their studies.
Main roads in Vinh City such as Nguyen Van Troi, Ly Tu Trong (in front of Nghe An College of Economics), Le Hong Phong (in front of Pedagogical College)... also have many new flower selling points.
This year, the flower and gift market is very diverse in types. Mainly roses, pansies, lilies, etc. On average, each normal bouquet costs from 100 - 200 thousand VND, with many bouquets costing up to 400 - 500 thousand VND. In addition to the flower market, at some shops, supermarkets, and stores, the atmosphere welcoming the March 8 holiday is equally bustling, the gifts most chosen by men are T-shirts, women's shirts, sandals, hats, etc.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, owner of a clothing store, said: “Because the weather is quite hot this year, customers come here mainly to buy T-shirts and sandals as gifts. To meet customers’ shopping needs, we opened earlier than usual.”
