Honoring individuals who actively protect wildlife.
The Center for Nature Education (ENV) announced that in early 2013, it will hold an awards ceremony to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation in Vietnam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung, Director of ENV's Wildlife Protection Program, stated that the award recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant and outstanding contributions to the protection of wildlife, which is seriously threatened by poaching and illegal trade. ENV and its partners believe that the tremendous efforts of law enforcement agencies, the media, and the public in protecting wildlife deserve recognition.
The recipients of this award are outstanding individuals from law enforcement agencies responsible for wildlife protection, an exemplary journalist, and a citizen with outstanding achievements.
The award was presented in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam and several domestic and international conservation organizations, including the Freeland Foundation, the Center for Human and Nature (PanNature), the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Traffic Indochina, IUCN Vietnam, and the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre of Cuc Phuong National Park.
The nomination period runs from August 10, 2012 to 5 PM on October 31, 2012. The awards ceremony will be held in Hanoi in early 2013.
