(Baonghean)In the “bumper harvest” of achievements and high rankings of Nghe An students, in the 2012 university and college entrance exams, Hung Nguyen’s hometown was honored to have bright representatives, the twin boys Ngo Van Hung and Ngo Van Dung, students of class 12A1 of Le Hong Phong High School. Each of them passed the entrance exams to 2 universities with high scores.
Ngo Van Hung and Ngo Van Dung are twin brothers (born in 1994) in a poor farming family of 3 brothers. Inheriting the tradition of studying hard and being successful of the famous Ngo family in the locality, as well as understanding the family situation and the hardships of their parents, the two brothers advised each other to study hard so as not to let down their parents. While they were students at Hung Xa Primary School, they were always excellent students and Uncle Ho's Good Children. When they were in secondary school, they received an invitation from Hung Nguyen District Secondary School, but due to their poor family situation, the school was far from home and they had no means of transportation to get to school, so Hung and Dung accepted to study at Hung Long Secondary School near their home to ease the hardship for their parents. It was not until they were in high school that they got a bicycle from a gift from relatives and siblings.

However, during their years studying here, this couple has always been an excellent student, with academic achievements surpassing those of their peers. In grade 9, Ngo Van Hung won third prize in the district-level Math competition and third prize in the provincial Physics competition, while Ngo Van Dung also won second prize in Math and an Encouragement prize in Chemistry.
In addition to class time, Hung and Dung also help their parents with farm and family work, and take advantage of their time to solve homework and review for advanced courses. Every night, people here often see Soa's house with the lights on until 1 or 2 a.m. Thanks to their tireless efforts, the two brothers have achieved more remarkable achievements: Ngo Van Dung has always been an excellent student for 3 consecutive years at Le Hong Phong High School, and Ngo Van Hung won second prize in the Physics Olympiad, third prize in English for excellent students in the province, and second prize in Physics for excellent students in the province.
Although both brothers are good at studying in block A, their parents want them to take the entrance exam to medical school in block B so that they can easily find a job after graduation. Loving their parents and sharing the ambition of becoming good doctors to treat the poor, both brothers took the entrance exam for both blocks A and B. And the exam results surprised everyone and made everyone admire: The older brother Ngo Van Hung passed the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Science and Technology in block A, Electronics and Telecommunications with 27 points and Hanoi Medical University in block B, 27 points. The younger brother Ngo Van Dung was on par with his brother with the following achievements: Military Medical Academy in block B with 28 points, University of Construction with 25.5 points.
Proud of her students, Ms. Ho Thi Nghia, who teaches Math and is the homeroom teacher of the two students, shared: “Hung and Dung are obedient students, listen to their teachers, are examples of self-discipline in studying, hard-working, and ready to help friends when they encounter difficulties in studying…”.
The outstanding academic achievements of the twins Ngo Van Hung and Ngo Van Dung have contributed to highlighting the glorious tradition of Le Hong Phong High School, and are the bright flowers of the young generation of Hung Nguyen district on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong.
