Nghe An Newspaper: Conference of Contributors and Distributors in 2012

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning (January 4th), Nghe An Newspaper held a conference on outstanding contributors and distribution work in 2012. Attending the conference were Comrade To Hong Hai - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, along with a large number of contributors.

In 2012, with the direct attention and guidance of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Newspaper successfully completed its political tasks, publishing 308 daily issues, 52 weekly issues, and 3 special issues closely following the province's political events and tasks, promoting exemplary new factors, strengthening the fighting spirit, and combating negative manifestations, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. Also in the past year, for the first time, the number of newspapers circulated exceeded 14,000 copies/day, an increase of nearly 3,000 copies/day. The online newspaper attracted an average of 35,000 visits/day in 2011 to over 60,000 visits/day, the highest ever.

Contributing to the above results is the active role of collaborators both within and outside the province; from senior collaborators to young collaborators, and the regular collaboration of many reporters from the provincial radio and television station, district-level radio and television stations, as well as some leaders and specialists from provincial departments and agencies. During the year, Nghe An Newspaper received more than 12,000 news articles, photos, and prose works from over 400 collaborators, of which nearly 70% were published. In 2012, the editorial board of Nghe An Newspaper also awarded 50 collaborators for their high-quality articles published in the newspaper's publications.

At the conference, on behalf of the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper - highly appreciated the role, enthusiastic cooperation, and increasingly effective contributions of the team of collaborators inside and outside the province to Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, the mountainous ethnic minority special section, and Nghe An Online. The collaboration of these collaborators has contributed to increasing the fighting spirit, mass appeal, and diverse style of journalistic works in Nghe An Newspaper. This is also a very important initial source of information that allows the newspaper to access, investigate more deeply and thoroughly, clarify issues of public concern, and combat negativity and harassment, thereby sanitizing social life. He also happily announced that, starting January 1, 2013, the Nghe An Daily newspaper will have 8 pages and will be published on Sundays, an increase of 2 pages and covering all 7 days of the week. Therefore, he hopes to continue receiving more active cooperation from contributors, with increasingly better and more relevant articles.
