(Baonghean)“Doing something good for the community and society is a joy for us…”. With this in mind, Ms. Thai Huong - General Director of BAC A BANK, and Chairwoman of TH Group did not hesitate to support nearly 5 billion VND for the Congenital Heart Surgery Program for poor children in Nghe An province. Thanks to that, 23 poor children with congenital heart disease received timely surgery.
Ms. Thai Huong recounted: “I come from a farming family in a poor village and I understand the difficult circumstances of the people when their children have congenital heart disease and do not have money for treatment, so for myself and for BAC A BANK and TH Group, we will strive to join hands with the community to do a good job of social security”. Therefore, in the past time, BAC A BANK and TH Group have always been the leading enterprises in supporting social security. And recently, an activity that has made a good impression in the community is the Congenital Heart Surgery Support Program for poor children in Nghe An. In this first phase, BAC A BANK and TH Group supported 1 billion VND to implement the program.

The program to support congenital heart surgery for poor children in Nghe An started in June 2012 and ended in December 2012. In such a short time, to carry out procedures, conduct patient screening in all districts in the province, then review and check the actual family circumstances of each patient and perform heart surgery in Hanoi... was a very heavy task for the "bridge" agency, the Nghe An Children's Support Fund, and related levels, sectors and organizations. This is a program of great significance to the community, so the director of the Children's Support Fund went directly to Hanoi E Hospital to invite prestigious associate professors and doctors to participate in the program. Associate Professor - Doctor Le Ngoc Thanh - Director of the Cardiovascular Center, Deputy Director of Hanoi E Hospital, said: "Because this is a humanitarian activity, we have thoroughly informed the medical staff and doctors in the group about the spirit of serving patients. Not afraid of difficulties, regardless of time and working at full capacity, that is why, in just 3 days (from August 16 to 18, 2012), we conducted screening examinations for 1,713 children, thereby prescribing treatment and surgery for more than 100 cases".
Because this is a 100% funding support program, from screening to heart surgery, to ensure that the beneficiaries are the right subjects, the work of preparing documents and assessing family circumstances is carried out seriously. The Provincial Children's Support Fund has coordinated with all levels and sectors to assess and select 23 cases that need surgery, and in September 2012, the children and their families were present at Hanoi E Hospital to complete the necessary procedures, and because the heart surgery process is very complicated, the patients are monitored very carefully.

On September 4, Ho Thi Mai (12 years old) in Quynh Phuong - Quynh Luu was the first case to have heart surgery successfully performed by associate professors and doctors of E Hospital. In the following period, many more children had heart surgery. In order to promptly encourage the associate professors and doctors of E Hospital as well as the patients, the provincial leaders directly visited E Hospital to visit, encourage and give gifts. It was difficult to express her feelings when her child was lucky to live a healthy life thanks to heart surgery, as well as receiving the attention of the provincial leaders, so Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong from Long Son commune, Anh Son could only choke up in tears. Also during this period, the provincial leaders, sponsors and E Hospital discussed and resolved some difficulties in the coordination process to promote the time of heart surgery. Thanks to the close cooperation and effective cooperation of all levels, sectors and sponsors, the Congenital Heart Surgery Program for poor children in Nghe An was completed on schedule.
At the end of 2012 meeting between the leaders of BAC A BANK, TH Group, E Hospital and related levels and sectors with the families of patients, Ms. Thai Huong choked up with emotion: “Every healthy fruit is a joy. I and the staff of BAC A BANK, TH Group are very happy about that. And hope that in the near future, our province will eliminate the situation of poor children with congenital heart disease”. Because of deep sympathy and the desire to share that difficulty, BAC A BANK and TH Group continue to accompany the Heart Surgery Support Program for poor children in Nghe An with the benefit of up to 100 surgeries.
Community and social activities have been an important part of the business activities of BAC A BANK and TH Group for many years, aiming to fulfill the responsibility of enterprises to society and the community. That policy is concretized through programs and activities: Sponsoring the program "Resistance relics" chaired by the General Department of Politics, Veterans Association and Communist Youth Union; Sponsoring the construction of medical stations in Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts; Sponsoring the Smile Surgery program in Nghe An; Sponsoring the construction of hundreds of Great Unity houses, many historical relics; Organizing a program to visit children at Tam Hiep K Hospital; Organizing a program to visit children at the Center for the Care of the Elderly and Children with Disabilities,... |
