(Baonghean) -Every first week of the month, at the flag-raising ceremony, the principal tells the students an interesting story in life, with profound humanistic meaning, especially stories related to the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

That is the program of the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week at Do Luong I High School, which has been maintained regularly since the 2011-2012 school year. The Party Committee and the School Board have been struggling to find a way to approach students more closely, contributing to educating moral qualities, ideals, equipping life skills, helping students strive to become good children and good students.

Now it has become a habit, every time it is time to greet, the students are extremely excited. Because, it is no longer rigid according to the familiar motif before, but has added an interesting and meaningful "Stories under the flag". These are simple stories about the life and career of Uncle Ho. Or it can also be a story about a real-life example of a poor, studious student who has achieved high academic results, or a touching story about a hard-working mother who sacrificed everything for her child to go to school... All stories are compiled concisely and clearly so that when presented, students can easily grasp them.

"Stories under the flag" implemented by the Party Cell of Do Luong I High School, headed by the Party Cell Secretary and Principal of the school - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Huong, has brought about remarkable results. Not only does it raise students' awareness, but through it, they are also more aware of studying and participating in meaningful social activities. Every month, the Youth Union organizes students to participate in cleaning and taking care of the martyrs' cemetery in Do Luong district, organizes donations to help orphaned disabled children and organizes many cultural exchanges to help the unfortunate, those in difficult circumstances. Organizes "groups of studious friends", "groups of friends helping each other overcome difficulties"... Volunteer to visit and take care of families of war invalids and policy beneficiaries...

“The story under the flag has contributed to equipping me and my friends with a lot of life experience. Those are very close and practical lessons for daily life that sometimes we have not paid attention to or been aware of,” said Nguyen Cong Manh Cuong, a student of class 11D1.
