Thailand: Red Shirts commemorate the 3rd anniversary of "bloodshed".
Tens of thousands of Red Shirt supporters from various provinces across Thailand participated in this protest.
On May 19th, in the heart of Bangkok (Thailand), the Democratic Front Against Dictatorship (the Red Shirts) held a large demonstration from 10:00 AM to midnight to commemorate the third anniversary of the violent Red Shirt protests that resulted in over 90 deaths.
Tens of thousands of Red Shirt supporters from various provinces across Thailand participated in this protest, commemorating the victims in various ways.

Speaking at the protest, Ms. Thida, Chairwoman of the Democratic Front Against Dictatorship, called on the Thai government and people to support and promote a genuine democratic process, amend the Constitution, and enact an amnesty law for those who participated in political protests over the past seven years.
The Red Shirt protest was peaceful, with minimal disruption to traffic; approximately 3,500 police officers were deployed to maintain security in the protest area.
