Temporarily stop using 5-in-1 vaccine
The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just announced to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities; the Expanded Immunization Project Management Board; and the Preventive Medicine Centers of provinces and centrally run cities to temporarily stop using the 5-in-1 Quinvaxem inj vaccine in the expanded immunization program.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just announced to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities; the Expanded Immunization Project Management Board; and the Preventive Medicine Centers of provinces and centrally run cities to temporarily stop using the 5-in-1 Quinvaxem inj vaccine in the expanded immunization program.
Quinvaxem inj vaccine is produced by Berna Biotech Korea Corporation. According to this announcement, Berna Biotech Korea Corporation's representative office in Vietnam, in coordination with the importer and distributor, must send a notice of temporary suspension of use to distributors and users.
At the same time, the Drug Administration requested a report on the import situation, distribution and use of Quinvaxem inj vaccine to the Drug Administration and the Department of Preventive Medicine before May 15.
The Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities, health sectors, the Expanded Immunization Project Management Board and provincial and municipal preventive medicine centers notify vaccine businesses and users to temporarily stop using Quinvaxem inj vaccine.
