The Drug Administration Department (Ministry of Health) has just announced that the Departments of Health of provinces and centrally-administered cities; the Expanded Immunization Project Management Board; and the Preventive Medicine Centers of provinces and centrally-administered cities have temporarily suspended the use of the Quinvaxem inj 5-in-1 vaccine in the expanded immunization program.

The Quinvaxem inj vaccine is manufactured by Berna Biotech Korea Corporation. According to this announcement, the representative office of Berna Biotech Korea Corporation in Vietnam, in coordination with the importer and distributor, must send a notice to distributors and users regarding the temporary suspension of its use.
At the same time, the Drug Administration requested a report on the import situation, distribution process, and use of Quinvaxem inj vaccine to be submitted to the Drug Administration and the Department of Preventive Medicine before May 15th.
The Departments of Health of provinces and centrally-administered cities, health departments of various sectors, the Expanded Immunization Project Management Board, and provincial and city preventive health centers are notifying businesses and users of vaccines to temporarily suspend the use of Quinvaxem inj. vaccine.
