Closing Ceremony of the Vietnam-Laos Youth Friendship Meeting 2013

(Baonghean.vn) -After three days of sightseeing, exchange, learning, and experiencing activities in Nghe An by the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth, the closing ceremony of the Vietnam-Lao Youth Friendship Meeting 2013 took place in Cua Lo town on the evening of July 21st.

Attending the closing ceremony were: Comrade Le Xuan Dai – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Kham Pha Phimmasone - Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union; Phan Van Mai - Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; along with youth union members and people of Cua Lo town.

During their exchange and study trip to Nghe An, the delegation of Lao People's Revolutionary Youth participated in activities experiencing the daily life of Vietnamese people in Cua Lo town, such as eating, living, and working with locals, and visiting the fishing port and fishing villages to gain a better understanding of Vietnamese culture.

Through these activities, the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth gained a deep understanding of the life and people here, and the affection that the Party, government, people, and youth of Nghe An have shown them. These outstanding young people of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth – the future owners of the country – will be the ones to continue writing the glorious history of the unwavering and loyal friendship between the two nations, the ones who will hold the torch of solidarity, peace, and friendship.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Comrade Le Xuan Dai affirmed: In the coming time, the leaders of Nghe An province and its departments, agencies, and organizations will continue to pay attention to elevating the friendship between the two countries to a new level, contributing to the implementation of economic, cultural, and social development tasks, and maintaining national defense and security of both countries. Therefore, the mission of the young generation of both countries is to join hands in preserving and further promoting that precious tradition through practical and meaningful efforts, cooperation, and contributions. The youth of Nghe An and the revolutionary youth of Laos need to continue to actively carry out cooperative activities together, contributing to strengthening the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

Comrade Khampha Phimmasone - Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.

Before the closing ceremony, the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth held an exchange with Vietnamese and Lao students studying at universities in Vinh, and with host families in Cua Lo town. Tomorrow, before returning home, the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth will make a pilgrimage to President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace and visit the Kim Lien historical site (Nam Dan).
