Besides official meetings with the leaders of these provinces and cities, the provincial leaders also held cordial gatherings with people from Nghe An working and living there. The trip truly left many positive impressions on both the visitors and the local people.
On the afternoon of August 1st, upon arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the provincial delegation was warmly welcomed by officials from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office. Mr. Luong Hong Phuc, an official from the City Party Committee Office, stated: “The city leaders have assigned us the responsibility of arranging five vehicles to serve the Nghe An delegation throughout their five-day working visit to the southern provinces. We are very pleased to welcome comrades from President Ho Chi Minh's hometown…”
During dinner, Comrade Nguyen Van Dua, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, enthusiastically shared with the provincial leaders that Ho Chi Minh City had grasped the directives of the Politburo through Resolution No. 26-NQ/T.Ư of the Politburo on the development of Nghe An province until 2020 and the action program of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. The fact that the leaders of Nghe An province visited Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of cooperation between the two localities further strengthens the special bond between President Ho Chi Minh's hometown and the city named after him.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc meets with businesses from Nghe Tinh province in Ho Chi Minh City.
During a working session between the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and the leaders of Nghe An province, Comrade Le Thanh Hai - Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the City Party Committee - stated: “We have a working schedule for the Nghe An delegation. All your time is dedicated to work; not a single hour is for sightseeing or rest. This shows your high determination for the development of your homeland. We feel a sense of responsibility to accompany the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province. Immediately after this working session, the two localities need to have specific solutions and plans for future cooperation...”
From Ho Chi Minh City, traveling along National Highway 13 for 110 km, on the morning of August 4th, a delegation of officials from the Provincial Party Standing Committee visited and worked with the leaders of Binh Phuoc province. This was the first time that key provincial leaders had visited Binh Phuoc. This was confirmed by Comrade Nguyen Tan Hung - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - with admiration for the people from President Ho Chi Minh's hometown.
Through discussions, the leaders of the two provinces shared a common direction to strengthen cooperation in economic development, focusing on long-term industrial crops such as rubber, cashew nuts, coffee, and pepper, linked with processing and export. They also agreed to promote and encourage potential businesses to invest in Nghe An, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, commensurate with its potential, advantages, and the aspirations of the entire country.
Immediately after concluding their working session with Binh Phuoc province, the delegation from the Provincial Party Standing Committee traveled to Binh Duong province to meet with provincial leaders in the early afternoon. With sincerity and openness, the leaders of the two provinces exchanged many experiences in attracting investment and developing the industrial sector. The successful mobilization of resources, land clearance, satisfactory resettlement, and planning of residential and service areas near industrial zones were truly valuable experiences for Nghe An.
To date, 16 years after its separation, Binh Duong has 28 industrial parks, 27 of which are operating effectively. Simultaneously, the comprehensive implementation of social welfare policies has become a shining example nationwide. The leaders of Binh Duong province have pledged to send officials to visit President Ho Chi Minh's hometown to work and coordinate investment promotion, creating momentum for socio-economic development, contributing to making Nghe An a prosperous province and a center for economy, trade, healthcare, education, and tourism for the North Central provinces, as directed by the Politburo.
Previously, provincial leaders worked with the Vietnam Beer, Wine and Beverage Corporation (SABECO), and divided into two delegations to work with Hoa Sen Group and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group in Ho Chi Minh City to attract investment to the province. Over four days, the delegation of officials from the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with three provinces, three economic organizations (two economic groups, one corporation), and met with the Nghe Tinh Hometown Association in three localities. With nine destinations, the leaders' schedule was packed day and night. Some members of the delegation considered this a "lightning-fast" trip. Although there were times when they were exhausted, all members strived to complete the set plan and achieve results in attracting investment.
The trip was also significant and left many valuable impressions when the provincial leaders organized meetings with the Nghe Tinh Hometown Associations and Business Associations in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, and Binh Duong. In each meeting, the sincere exchanges between the provincial leaders and the compatriots reflected their pride in being children of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland, and their hopes and expectations for development.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc expressed his wish that people from Nghe An continue to contribute their intellect to the socio-economic development of their hometowns, legitimately enrich themselves, and invest in their homeland. The province will always create favorable conditions for such a return. He also kindly reminded the compatriots to strictly abide by the policies and guidelines of their respective localities, and to consider their current place of residence as their homeland, so that they can work together with the community to strive for progress and growth.
