New Beginning

(Baonghean) - From August 1 to 5, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, led by Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had meetings and exchanged experiences in attracting investment and developing socio-economy with Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc Province and Binh Duong Province. In addition to official working sessions with leaders of provinces and cities, the provincial leaders also organized friendly meetings with children of Nghe An people who are working and living here. The working trip really left many emotions for both visitors and locals.

On the afternoon of August 1, as soon as they arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the delegation of provincial officials was warmly welcomed by the staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office. Mr. Luong Hong Phuc, an officer of the Party Committee Office, informed: “The city leaders assigned us the responsibility of arranging 5 cars to serve the delegation of Nghe An officials during the 5 working days in the southern provinces. We are very happy to welcome the comrades from Uncle Ho's hometown…”.

During the dinner, Comrade Nguyen Van Dua - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee happily confided to the provincial leaders that Ho Chi Minh City has grasped the Politburo's instructions through Resolution No. 26-NQ/T.Ư of the Politburo on the development of Nghe An province until 2020 and the action program of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. The fact that the leaders of Nghe An province came to Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of cooperation between the two localities is even more meaningful in promoting the special bond between Uncle Ho's hometown and the city named after him.

During the meeting between the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and the leaders of Nghe An province, comrade Le Thanh Hai - Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee said: “We have a working schedule for the Nghe An delegation. All the time you spend on work, not a single hour for sightseeing or resting. That shows that you are highly determined for the development of your homeland. We see a part of the responsibility to accompany the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province. Immediately after this meeting, the two localities need to have specific solutions and plans for the cooperation process in the coming time...”.

From Ho Chi Minh City, following National Highway 13, passing 110 km, on the morning of August 4, a delegation of officials from the Provincial Party Standing Committee visited and worked with the leaders of Binh Phuoc province. This was the first time that key leaders of the province had come to Binh Phuoc. This was confirmed by Comrade Nguyen Tan Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council with admiration for the children from Uncle Ho's hometown.

Through the exchange, the leaders of the two provinces shared the orientation of strengthening economic development cooperation with the strength of long-term industrial crops such as rubber, cashew, coffee, pepper associated with export processing. At the same time, they will step up propaganda and mobilize potential enterprises to invest in Nghe An, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of Uncle Ho's homeland to match the potential, advantages and desires of the whole country.

Immediately after the working session with Binh Phuoc province, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee moved to Binh Duong province to work with the provincial leaders in the early afternoon. With sincerity and openness, the leaders of the two provinces exchanged many experiences in attracting investment and strongly developing industry. During that process, the success in mobilizing resources, clearing land, satisfactorily resolving resettlement, planning residential areas, and services near industrial parks were truly valuable experiences for Nghe An.

Up to now, after 16 years of separation, Binh Duong has 28 industrial parks, of which 27 are operating effectively. In addition, the synchronous implementation of social security policies has become a bright spot in the country. The leaders of Binh Duong province have committed to sending officials to Uncle Ho's hometown to visit, work, and coordinate in investment promotion, creating momentum for socio-economic development, contributing to making Nghe An a prosperous province and an economic, commercial, medical, educational, and tourism center of the North Central provinces as directed by the Politburo.

Previously, the provincial leaders worked with the Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SABECO), divided into two groups to work with the Hoa Sen Group and the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group in Ho Chi Minh City to mobilize investment in the province. In 4 days, the delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with 3 provinces, 3 economic organizations (2 economic groups, 1 corporation) and met with the Nghe Tinh Association in 3 localities. With 9 such destinations, the leaders' work schedule was full day and night. Some comrades in the delegation said that this was a "lightning-fast" business trip. Although there were times when they felt tired, all members made efforts to complete the set plan and achieved results in attracting investment.

The trip was also meaningful and left many precious feelings when the provincial leaders organized meetings with the Associations of Fellow Countrymen and the Association of Nghe Tinh Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong. In each meeting, the sincere exchange between the provincial leaders and fellow countrymen exuded the pride of being children of Uncle Ho's homeland, the trust and expectations for development.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Duc Phoc hoped that fellow countrymen from Nghe An would continue to promote their intelligence for the socio-economic development of the localities where they live, to enrich themselves legitimately and have the conditions to invest in their homeland. The province always creates favorable conditions for that direction. He also kindly advised fellow countrymen to comply well with the policies of the localities, to consider the place where they live as their homeland, their country to strive and grow together with the community.

Nguyen Son
