Cua Lo Port welcomes 2 foreign ships to dock

(Baonghean.vn) -Cua Lo port has organized the first campaign of the year since the 4th day of Tet. In the past 2 months, the port has welcomed and brought 119 ships in and out of the port, the amount of goods passing through the port reached more than 301 thousand tons.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of goods passing through the port increased by about 5%. The main items are: 139,000 tons of white stone, 45,000 tons of wood chips, 11,000 tons of fertilizer, 49,000 tons of container, and 11,000 tons of molasses. These are the first tons of molasses exported to Korea in the new year.

A good sign for the port is that on the first day of the new year, it welcomed two large foreign ships, the Taiping (Taiwanese) and the Kai Xiang (Chinese). According to the port leadership, due to the good care of the workers' lives, on the first working day, 100% of the staff and workers participated in the work. This is the basis for the port to strive to complete the target of 2 million tons of goods passing through the port in 2013.
