(Baonghean.vn)- From July 1 to August 31, 2013, the Nghe An Border Guard Command launched a high-profile campaign to combat human trafficking crimes in the border area.

The campaign to combat human trafficking crimes is part of Plan No. 561/KH-BCH BP. Accordingly, units on the two border lines of the province advise local authorities, agencies and departments to launch a campaign to widely disseminate information to ethnic minorities in border areas about the methods and tricks of human trafficking crimes in order to raise awareness and actively participate in preventing human trafficking crimes.

Along with that, the border guards focus on synchronously deploying working measures, grasping all activities of human trafficking, kidnapping, and appropriation of women and children, performing basic investigation well, identifying key areas and villages that need to be focused on fighting. From there, identify the number of women and children who have gone missing, have been absent for a long time without clear reasons, and are suspected of being trafficked and need to focus on verifying and clarifying; Identify subjects, gangs, and human trafficking crime rings and report to the Command to establish a case to fight.

In addition, strengthen patrolling and control, regularly combine with mobile control, focus on key points to detect, arrest criminals, and rescue victims. Closely coordinate with the police force in exchanging information, implementing professional plans, establishing and fighting special projects to prevent and destroy inter-provincial human trafficking rings to close the border - domestic situation. Nghe An Border Guard will also make a list of suspected victims of human trafficking or residing abroad that have been identified for exchange, requesting functional forces to coordinate in verification and rescue./.
