(Baonghean) - Born in 1981, before becoming a statistics officer at the Organization Department (Provincial Military Command), Hoang Van Anh spent three months in "new recruit" training, participating in many nighttime field exercises, political and etiquette tests, and AK rifle shooting at the 764th Training Regiment; and three years as a confidential document officer at the Provincial Military Command (during this time, Van Anh had the honor of joining the Party - 2004).

Although the demands of a soldier's duties varied at different stages, ultimately, according to Van Anh, "those days honed my political acumen, my will to succeed, and especially my meticulousness, carefulness, and responsibility in everything I do." This is also the motto for life and work of female soldier Hoang Van Anh.

Lieutenant Hoang Thi Van Anh.

In December 2007, Hoang Van Anh was transferred to the Organization Department - Political Division of the Provincial Military Command. Her responsibilities there involved party member management, encompassing various tasks such as managing party member databases, issuing Party badges and membership cards, transferring party membership, compiling applications for party membership, transferring full party membership, collecting and disbursing party fees, and preparing statistical reports. While not physically demanding, this work required meticulousness, carefulness, professional skills, and, most importantly, a very high sense of responsibility to avoid errors.

Initially, she was very worried and anxious: Would she be able to complete the task well? But those were just fleeting thoughts. She began to work while simultaneously supplementing her knowledge and experience by reading and researching documents; reading articles on party member work in several newspapers and magazines; thoroughly understanding the principles, regulations, directives, and guidelines from superiors, and also exchanging and learning from colleagues. Regarding her achievements, she has nearly six years in charge of party member work and statistical reporting for the Organization Department without a single error or discrepancy in data, despite the complexity of the data, reports, and forms required in the military.

Not only is she responsible in her professional work, Hoang Van Anh is also a role model of exemplary conduct for a soldier. Unlike many who often make excuses for being late or leaving early, she, despite her husband working far away, two young children, and both her and her husband's families living far away, never once arrived late, always before the scheduled time. If work at the unit wasn't finished, she would bring it home and work on it while her two children were asleep, sometimes even working on Saturdays and Sundays at the unit.

Hoang Van Anh recalled a memory from a few years ago when a typhoon hit Nghe An. The commander of the provincial military command ordered the unit to be on 100% duty. She didn't explain her circumstances to the commander to ask for leave, but voluntarily obeyed the order. There were only three of them at home; that day she picked up her two children from kindergarten and brought them straight to the unit, so all three of them were on duty during the typhoon.

Besides striving to overcome adversity to fulfill her professional duties at the unit and her role as a woman in the family, she is also a leading figure in the women's movements of the Provincial Military Command as the Chairwoman of the Women's Association, contributing to the deepening and practical effectiveness of the women's movement within the Provincial Military Command. The Women's Association of the Provincial Military Command has been evaluated and ranked excellent by the higher-level association. Van Anh herself has consistently achieved the title of Advanced Soldier; in 2012, she was honored as an Emulation Soldier by the Provincial Military Command; and she was especially honored to participate in the national ceremony to commend exemplary individuals in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi last May.
