(Baonghean.vn) -One day at the end of May, I visited the SOS Children's Village in Vinh. The warm and cozy atmosphere of the village seemed to dispel the summer heat. In preparation for International Children's Day on June 1st, the children were decorating their rooms; practicing performing arts, drawing, painting statues, reading comic books, and helping younger children with their studies...

Although June 1st hasn't arrived yet, many families at the SOS Children's Village Vinh have already celebrated Children's Day early for their children. Mother Cay Van Tue shared: "My children and I celebrated beforehand, and on June 1st, the Village held a joint celebration with cultural performances, storytelling contests, drawing competitions... it was so much fun. Therefore, every year our family celebrates Children's Day earlier so that on June 1st, all families can gather at the Village courtyard to celebrate."

One day, while visiting the village, I witnessed the love, trust, and unity within each family. Even though they weren't born from the same mother or are not blood relatives, the families here treat each other like brothers and sisters, living a simple, warm, and loving life.

Painting is a favorite subject among many children in the village, and some have won international awards, such as Lo Van Chong - an international award with his work: "The traditional rice cake oven in my hometown during Tet"; Thai Thi Quynh, second prize in the painting competition on the theme "Life Around Me" organized by the Provincial Library in 2012; and many other awards...

Help me learn to read.

Let's read stories together.

After school, the older siblings pick up their younger sibling from kindergarten and bring them back to the Village.
