A very surprising announcement has been made: HTV (Hanoi Broadcasting and Television Station) has successfully acquired the broadcasting rights for the English Premier League for the third consecutive season (2013-2016).

HTV has acquired the broadcasting rights for the English Premier League matches on Saturdays.

Previously, since 2010, HTV also held the broadcasting rights for the most attractive football league on the planet. There are reports that, after three seasons holding the rights, due to economic difficulties, HTV will withdraw from the race to acquire the broadcasting rights for the English Premier League.

However, through their dedicated efforts for the fans, HTV has secured the broadcasting rights for the next three seasons of the Premier League. Matches are broadcast live every Saturday evening through two public channels (HTV1 and HTV2) and Hanoi Cable Television channel HcaTV.

Reportedly, the broadcasting rights package acquired by HTV includes a total of 282 matches, accounting for approximately 80% of the Premier League matches in the 2013/14 season. Information from HTV indicates that they will endeavor to broadcast all Saturday matches on the aforementioned HTV channels.

In addition, starting this season, Hanoi Television will broadcast matches of the German Bundesliga on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings.

Thus, every weekend, television viewers can watch the two most exciting European leagues on HTV without paying any fees.

Alongside these two tournaments, HTV will produce programs providing comprehensive coverage of top European championships such as those in England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France.

The opening match of the Bundesliga will be broadcast by HTV at 1:30 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2013, between the reigning European champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach on Channel 1.
