(Baonghean.vn) -The Nghia Dung commune's electricity system was built by the people's contributions since 1993. Since 2009, Tan Ky Electricity Branch has sold electricity to households, but still uses the old, degraded electrical infrastructure system with a very high risk of safety.

According to the commune electricity board, there are currently nearly 180 wooden electric poles and hundreds of poor quality concrete poles. In addition, the entire power line is bare wire, and many of the fish bone branches in the residential area use very small bare wire, so it is very dangerous for the lives of people and livestock.

On July 28, 3 wooden electric poles at the branch of the Ru hamlet's inter-family road (belonging to Dao Nguyen hamlet) collapsed and broke in half, cutting about 100 meters of wire and killing a buffalo belonging to Mr. Ha Duc Bang's family.

It is known that the people of Nghia Dung commune have repeatedly petitioned relevant authorities and agencies about the deterioration of the electrical infrastructure system. Recently (July 3, 2013), at the meeting of the Commune People's Council, voters of Dong The, Cot Co, Bau, Dinh, Gia De, Dao Nguyen hamlets... continued to petition the Commune People's Committee to consult with Tan Ky Electricity Branch to invest in repairing and remediating to ensure electrical safety for the people during the rainy and stormy season, but so far there has been no movement.

Below are some pictures of the electrical infrastructure in Nghia Dung commune and the scene of 3 broken electric poles electrocuting buffaloes in Dao Nguyen hamlet.
