Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan requested a report on the incident to be submitted to the Prime Minister before August 20th.

Following media reports about the "cloning" of test results at Hoai Duc General Hospital (Hanoi), which caused public outrage, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan requested the Ministry of Health, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Hanoi Police to report to the Prime Minister on the matter before August 20, 2013.

On the morning of August 16th, the Hanoi Department of Health, along with representatives from relevant departments, presented Certificates of Commendation to Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet, Ms. Phan Thi Nam Dong, and Ms. Vuong Thi Dinh. These individuals were the signatories to a complaint filed with authorities exposing egregious violations related to the "cloning" of test results.

According to Nguyen Van Yen, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, the actions of these individuals are highly commendable. This will also serve as an inspiration for more people to bravely fight against wrongdoing.

Regarding the above incident, the police have initiated a criminal case for "Abuse of position and authority while performing official duties occurring at Hoai Duc District General Hospital". The Hanoi City Police have initially determined that from July 2012 to May 2013, the Laboratory Department of Hoai Duc District General Hospital issued more than 2,000 test slips to patients, of which 1,149 were duplicate hematology test slips.

The Hanoi People's Committee has also issued a directive to implement the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee regarding the handling of violations at Hoai Duc General Hospital.

The Hanoi People's Committee has instructed the Hanoi Police to proactively and urgently conclude the investigation into the case, ensuring objectivity and strictness in dealing with each individual and group involved in the violations. Any organization or individual involved in the violations must be severely punished according to the law. The Hanoi Police will take the lead in coordinating with the Department of Health, the Hoai Duc District Party Committee, the Hoai Duc District People's Committee, and other relevant units to take measures to protect whistleblowers from retaliation and reprisal.
