Prime Minister receives Secretary of Guangxi Regional Party Committee - China

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hopes that localities of the two countries will further strengthen cooperation activities.

On the afternoon of June 10, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Secretary of the Guangxi Region Party Committee, China Peng Qinghua, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

Welcoming the visit and working visit to Vietnam of Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized that Vietnam attaches importance to promoting multifaceted cooperation with China and wishes to continue working with China to deepen, expand, and become more practical and effective cooperation in all fields between the two countries.

In such a common spirit, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the results of the working session between Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua and leaders of Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces; he believed that the visit and working session in Vietnam by Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua would make practical contributions to promoting cooperative relations between Guangxi and localities of Vietnam, contributing to promoting general cooperation between Vietnam and China in various fields.

Emphasizing that China is one of Vietnam's leading investors and trade partners, but the potential for cooperation between the two countries is still very large, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hopes that localities of the two countries will further strengthen cooperation activities in all fields, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment, for the practical benefits and common development of both countries.
The Prime Minister also requested that China in general and Guangxi in particular increase the number of scholarships, creating favorable conditions for more and more Vietnamese students to study in China. At the same time, he hoped that Guangxi would closely coordinate with Vietnamese border localities to effectively manage the border, contributing to building the Vietnam-China border into a truly peaceful, cooperative, friendly and developed border.

Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua said: The visit and working session in Vietnam aims to further promote cooperation in all fields between Guangxi and Vietnamese localities, especially in the fields of economics, trade, investment, culture, education-training, tourism, etc.

To promote economic cooperation between Vietnam and China, Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua proposed that both sides pay attention to increasing investment in building transport routes connecting localities of the two countries as well as investing in building border trade zones, border gate economic zones... At the same time, he hoped that Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities would create favorable conditions for Guangxi enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam for a long time.

Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Peng Qinghua expressed his belief that with the friendship between the two countries and peoples, and the attention and facilitation of the two countries' senior leaders, the cooperative relationship between localities of Vietnam and China in general and between Guangxi and localities of Vietnam in particular will increasingly develop deeply and effectively, making practical contributions to the overall cooperation results between Vietnam and China./.
