Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his desire for localities in both countries to further strengthen cooperation activities.
On the afternoon of June 10th, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee of China, who was visiting and working in Vietnam.
Welcoming the visit and working trip to Vietnam of the Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee, Peng Qinghua, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized that Vietnam attaches importance to promoting multifaceted cooperation with China and wishes to continue working together with China to further deepen, broaden, and enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in various fields between the two countries.

In that spirit, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the results of the working session between the Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee, Peng Qinghua, and the leaders of Lang Son and Quang Ninh provinces; he believed that the visit and working trip to Vietnam by Secretary Peng Qinghua would make a practical contribution to promoting cooperative relations between Guangxi and Vietnamese localities, and contribute to promoting overall cooperation between Vietnam and China in various fields.
Emphasizing that China is one of Vietnam's leading investors and trading partners, and that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is still very large, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his wish for localities in both countries to further strengthen cooperation in various fields, especially in economics, trade, and investment, for the practical benefit and common development of both countries.
The Prime Minister also requested that China in general, and Guangxi in particular, increase the number of scholarships and create favorable conditions for more Vietnamese students to study in China. At the same time, he expressed his hope that Guangxi would closely cooperate with Vietnamese border localities to effectively manage the border, contributing to building a Vietnam-China border that is truly a border of peace, cooperation, friendship, and development.
According to Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee, the visit to Vietnam aims to further promote cooperation in various fields between Guangxi and Vietnam, especially in the areas of economics, trade, investment, culture, education and training, and tourism.
To promote economic cooperation between Vietnam and China, Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee, proposed that both sides focus on strengthening investment in the construction of transportation routes connecting localities of the two countries, as well as investing in the construction of border trade zones and border economic zones. He also expressed his hope that Vietnamese ministries, departments, and localities would create favorable conditions for Guangxi enterprises to cooperate, invest, and conduct long-term business in Vietnam.
Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee, Peng Qinghua, expressed his confidence that, with the friendly feelings between the two countries and peoples, and the attention and support of high-level leaders of both countries, cooperative relations between localities of Vietnam and China in general, and between Guangxi and localities of Vietnam in particular, will increasingly develop in depth and effectiveness, making practical contributions to the overall cooperation between Vietnam and China.
