On the morning of July 4th, candidates took the Mathematics exam.
The Ministry of Education and Training stated that this year's university entrance exam will prioritize testing fundamental knowledge, application skills, and practical abilities. The content will be within the scope of the current high school curriculum, primarily focusing on grade 12. The exam should not be overly difficult or complex, should not trick candidates, should not go beyond or exceed the high school curriculum, and should not include sections that have been reduced or removed from the curriculum. The exam will include easy sections for average candidates, relatively difficult sections for above-average candidates, and challenging questions for high-achieving candidates to differentiate between them.

The invigilator calls the candidates into the examination room.
Hoai Nam, a candidate from Yen Thanh district taking the entrance exam for Vinh Medical University, said that he woke up at 5 a.m., took a short walk around his relatives' house, ate some sticky rice with beans, and went to the exam site with his older brother. "I decided to stay relaxed and try to score above the minimum threshold so that if I don't get into this university, I still have other options," he said.

An examination room at the Faculty of Economic Law, University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City, was crowded with candidates, with up to three students sitting at each desk.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology had a fairly high number of absent candidates.
Our observations at exam locations such as Vinh University, Phan Boi Chau High School, and Huynh Thuc Khang High School showed that both candidates and parents were quite relaxed. At 6:30 AM, after dropping their children off at the exam centers, many parents sought out refreshment stalls to chat while waiting for their children. While some parents were confident their children would get into top universities, many others honestly shared that their children's academic abilities were average, but they wanted to give them a chance to take the exam because of their 12 years of schooling. If their children didn't get into university, they would send them to vocational school or overseas employment.

Student volunteers continued to form human barriers to alleviate traffic congestion and help exam candidates cross the road safely at the gate of Vinh University.
On the morning of July 4th, volunteer teams participating in the exam support program continued their activities around exam sites and intersections, working alongside police to maintain traffic order and prevent congestion. At the Vinh University exam site, volunteers were busy preparing free meals and drinks to distribute to candidates.
