Mr. Luong Van Phong (head of Thai Son 2 village) said: The village has 4 houses completely collapsed, 4.6 hectares of corn were broken and could not be recovered. The fallen rice area has been recovered but will certainly affect the yield because the rice had just bloomed a few days before the tornado happened.

In Tan Son village, 6 houses were completely collapsed, including 5 Dan Lai households and 1 Thai household. Most of the houses collapsed during the natural disaster were temporary houses made of bamboo and leaves. Only Mrs. Ngan Thi Chuong's house, which was quite solid and received government assistance under the 167 program, had broken beams and was crooked.

Immediately after the tornado passed, officers and soldiers of Mon Son Border Guard Station, in addition to overcoming the unit's damage, actively coordinated with local authorities to go to the area to help people rebuild their houses, clear fallen trees... At the same time, they counted the damage to propose to competent authorities to help severely damaged households overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

On the morning of April 23, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district inspected the situation to come up with a plan to support people in the tornado that is considered the most severe in about 30 years in Mon Son commune.
