During an extraordinary session on November 13, the Ukrainian Parliament failed to reach consensus on a bill to release imprisoned former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

This session is seen as a decisive factor in reaching an agreement with the European Union (EU).

The meeting is expected to be the last chance for Kiev to release Ms. Tymoshenko before a key summit at the end of November.

The session ended with boos from lawmakers after a parliamentary working group from the ruling Party of Regions and the opposition failed to agree on the bill, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak announced.
