Delegation of Lao Ministry of Finance visits Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) -At the invitation of the Minister of Finance of Vietnam, from July 29 to August 3, 2013, a delegation of the Ministry of Finance of the Lao PDR led by Mr. San-Ti-Phap Phom-Vi-Han - Deputy Minister of Finance visited, worked and exchanged with the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam in Cua Lo Town.

After arriving in Vietnam and Cua Lo Town, on the morning of July 31, the delegation of Lao Ministry of Finance officials visited the Provincial People's Committee Office to pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. Welcoming the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments. On the side of the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, comrade Nguyen Ba Toan - Director of the Department of International Cooperation was the head of the delegation.

At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong reported to the delegates of the two ministries on the socio-economic development of the province in 2012 and the first 6 months of 2013; natural conditions and results of international cooperation between Nghe An and Lao provinces bordering Nghe An in the recent past, including the results of investment and trade cooperation between Nghe An and Lao provinces, the results of cooperation in education and training, culture and tourism, the situation of territory, border and marker planting, and the collection of martyrs' remains....

After listening to the leaders of Nghe An province report on some situations, Comrade San-Ti-Phap Phom-Vi-Han - Deputy Minister of Finance of Laos expressed his gratitude for the sincere and respectful reception of Nghe An province for the delegation; at the same time, highly appreciated the results and potential of cooperation between Nghe An and Lao provinces in the past as well as in the future.

After the welcoming ceremony and information exchange, the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Finance went to the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum to visit the exhibition room on the life and career of Comrade Kaysone Phom Vihan, Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. Here, as the Head of the delegation and the son of the late President Kaysone Phom Vihan, after learning that Nghe An, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, has a special exhibition room on the life and career of his father, Comrade San-Ti-Phap Phom-Vihan - Deputy Minister of the Lao Ministry of Finance expressed his emotion and gratitude for the affection of the Party Committee and people of Nghe An for the Lao people in general and the revolutionary cause of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in particular.
