(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 20, the Provincial People's Court held a conference to summarize the work of 2013 and deploy tasks for 2014. Attending the conference were comrade Bui Ngoc Hoa - Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Pham Van Tan - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

In 2013, with the attention and direction of the Supreme People's Court, the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and the coordination of relevant agencies, the key tasks of the People's Courts at two levels of Nghe An province were deployed and implemented effectively. 6,811 cases of all kinds were accepted, 6,606 cases were resolved, reaching a rate of 97% (the total number of cases accepted increased by 463 cases, an increase of 7% compared to 2012). Of which, the Provincial Court accepted 750 cases, resolved 735 cases, reaching a rate of 98%; the District Court accepted 6,061 cases, resolved 5,871 cases, reaching a rate of 97%.

Based on the results achieved and the implementation of the tasks in 2014, the Provincial People's Court continues to determine the innovation of litigation procedures in court in a practical direction, ensuring democracy, publicity and compliance with the provisions of law. Speed ​​up the progress and improve the quality of resolving and adjudicating all types of cases, not exceeding the statutory time limit; resolving and adjudicating criminal cases at 95% or more; civil, marriage and family cases at 90% or more; commercial, labor and administrative cases at 87% or more; ensuring 100% of decisions on the execution of criminal sentences on time. Minimize the number of judgments and decisions that are annulled or amended due to subjective errors of the Judges; strive to prevent the wrongful conviction of innocent people and the escape of criminals. Strengthen the work of mobile trials and do a good job of mediation in the process of resolving civil cases.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Bui Ngoc Hoa highly appreciated the results that the provincial Court had achieved in 2013, as well as the targets set for 2014. He noted that the Nghe An provincial Court should continue to promote the study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, improve the quality of litigation in court, promote mediation of civil cases, increase mobile trials of cases related to crimes such as drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, etc., contributing to further enhancing the role of the Court in maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.

On this occasion, the provincial Court sector was honored to have a collective, the People's Court of Quynh Luu district, awarded the Second Class Labor Medal; Comrade Pham Van Ha - Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Supreme People's Court and the Provincial People's Committee.
