As the voice of the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Hanoi, for the past 57 years, Hanoi Moi Newspaper has always been a witness to a heroic capital city, a capital deeply marked by the nation's strong development in the era of integration and progress.

From its first daily issue (October 24, 1957) to the present day, Hanoi Moi Newspaper has undergone a comprehensive development process in terms of organization, personnel, finance, content, and format of its daily newspaper and publications, meeting the requirements of its political mission. From a four-page black-and-white print, Hanoi Moi Daily has expanded to eight pages, printed in four colors, published numerous editions, adopted modern journalistic practices, and developed an online newspaper to diversify its propaganda work effectively. Hanoi Moi Newspaper has made positive contributions to finding a direction for journalistic development, bridging the gap between central and local press; successfully building the cultural image of the newspaper; and maintaining and promoting the identity of the Capital's Party newspaper.

In recognition of these achievements, the Party and State have awarded Hanoi Moi Newspaper the title of Hero of Labor for its exceptionally outstanding achievements in labor and creativity, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. This is a milestone marking the continuous efforts of generations of journalists at Hanoi Moi Newspaper. Throughout its operation, the newspaper has always closely followed reality, even during difficult times of war as well as peacetime. Following the adjustment of the capital's administrative boundaries, the Hanoi Moi newspaper and the Ha Tay newspaper merged, and the newspaper quickly stabilized and continued to fulfill its assigned tasks. The newspaper's articles were active, focusing on vividly and extensively promoting the campaign to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, and the fight against corruption, bureaucracy, and waste. The newspaper actively participated in charitable activities, contributing to helping compatriots nationwide during difficult periods.

The Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee requested that the newspaper consistently adhere to the Party and city's guidelines and policies; continuously improve its political quality, focusing first and foremost on disseminating the Party's Central Resolution No. 4, Resolution No. 11 on the direction of capital city development, and the City Party Committee's nine work programs... The staff and reporters need to enhance their political acumen and journalistic expertise, delve deeply into grassroots issues, promote good examples and good deeds, resolutely fight against the erroneous thoughts and arguments of hostile forces; constantly learn about journalistic processes, improve the quality of publications, anticipate readers' needs, and successfully complete assigned tasks; be exemplary in self-correction and overcoming shortcomings, absolutely avoid publishing false information, and actively participate in social activities. The newspaper must strive to be worthy of the title of Hero of Labor as well as the trust and affection of its readers through timely, useful, and engaging information.
