AFC highly praised Vietnam's organization of the 2014 Women's Asian Cup.

Prior to the 2014 Asian Women's Football Championship final between Japan and Australia on the evening of May 25th, leaders of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) met with and presented commemorative plaques to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Thong Nhat Sports Center.

At the meeting, AFC Vice President Moya Dodd and AFC Secretary General Dato' Alex Soosay presented commemorative plaques to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Thong Nhat Sports Center, as a recognition and high appreciation of the efforts of the VFF and Thong Nhat Sports Center in successfully organizing the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup Finals in Ho Chi Minh City.

Furthermore, Ms. Moya Dodd – Vice President of the AFC – also affirmed that the successful organization of the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup Finals once again demonstrates the capacity and prestige of the VFF in major events of continental football.

General Secretary Le Hoai Anh represented the VFF in receiving the commemorative plaque, and expressed that if entrusted by the AFC with hosting any tournament, the VFF would do its utmost with the highest sense of responsibility, and hoped that in the future Vietnam would continue to be an attractive destination for Asian football.
