Literacy classes

(Baonghean) - Currently, in Phong village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, there are still many Tay Poong ethnic minority women, aged 15 to 45, who are illiterate. Faced with this reality, the Tam Hop Border Guard Post - Nghe An Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Tuong Duong District Education Department and Tam Hop commune, has organized literacy classes for the local people. The class schedule is flexible, depending on the farming season and the women's work schedules. The classes are held right in the village's cultural center; pens, paper, learning materials, lesson plans, and teachers are all provided by the Border Guard Post. From being illiterate, the women have now learned to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic within the range of 1,000… These classes are contributing to the development of a learning movement in this remote village.
