Doctors from Nghe An Eye Hospital examine the elderly in Quynh Long commune.

Here, doctors and nurses imparted knowledge about common eye diseases that the elderly often suffer from, through interviews with specific cases of the disease to advise people and the elderly on how to protect their eyes. At the same time, they guided the necessary procedures for cases of eye diseases, especially for the elderly who are poor and do not have health insurance cards, and need to contact Nghe An Eye Hospital directly to receive treatment support from the project to support payment for trachoma causing blindness in Vietnam (Trachoma).

After screening and health care consultation, each elderly person who comes for examination is given free medicine. This is a meaningful activity, helping members of the Elderly Association and the people, especially those with eye-related diseases, know how to care for and protect their eyes, while reducing the rate of blindness in the community.
