The whole province mobilized 11.3 billion VND for the "Gratitude Fund"

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2014, the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the Revolution in Nghe An province continued to receive special attention from all levels and sectors. Over the past 6 months, regular payments have been made to over 83,500 people with meritorious services, with an amount of over 110 billion VND.

Confirmed 11 cases of resistance fighters and their children infected with Agent Orange; issued and exchanged war invalid and sick soldier cards and martyr family certificates for 121 cases; resolved one-time subsidies for 170 cases of relatives of veteran revolutionary cadres; issued and exchanged 500 certificates of merit from the Fatherland. Also in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province mobilized 11.3 billion VND from the "Gratitude Fund"; renovated and repaired 305 houses for policy beneficiaries, with a total disbursement of over 18.3 billion VND.

In the coming time, all levels and sectors of Nghe An province will focus on implementing a general review of preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the Revolution in the area; Providing housing support for people with meritorious services according to Decision 22 of the Prime Minister; Timely implementing policies for people with meritorious services according to regulations and organizing activities to celebrate the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the "Drinking water, remember its source" activity in 2014./.
