(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2014, the implementation of preferential policies for people with revolutionary contributions in Nghe An province continued to receive special attention from all levels and sectors. In the past 6 months, regular payments were made to over 83,500 people with revolutionary contributions, with an amount of over 110 billion VND.

Confirmed 11 cases of resistance fighters and their children infected with Agent Orange; issued and exchanged war invalids, sick soldiers and martyrs' family certificates for 121 cases; settled one-time subsidies for 170 cases of relatives of veteran revolutionary cadres; issued and exchanged 500 certificates of merit from the Fatherland. Also in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province mobilized 11.3 billion VND from the "Gratitude Fund"; renovated and repaired 305 houses for policy beneficiaries, with a total disbursement of over 18.3 billion VND.
