Meeting with relatives of martyrs of Regiment 27.B5 in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 16, the Liaison Committee of Regiment 27.B5 organized an exchange and meeting with relatives of martyrs of Regiment 27.B5 in Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town.

Regiment 27.B5 was established on February 8, 1968, mainly participating in the fight at the fiery Quang Tri front. Through the years of fierce and arduous war, the officers and soldiers of the regiment always upheld their heroic and resilient qualities on all fronts and recorded many glorious victories. In Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town alone, there are 215 martyrs, of which only over 100 have been welcomed back to their homeland and gathered in martyr cemeteries; the rest have yet to find their graves, and every year, the martyrs' families still search with the hope of bringing them back to rest.

The Liaison Committee of Regiment 27.B5 organized a meeting with relatives of martyrs' families to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of the regiment and to comfort and encourage the relatives of martyrs' families to continue contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.

Relatives of martyrs of the Regiment received gifts from officers, soldiers of the regiment and companies and businesses.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Diu and 215 relatives of martyrs of Regiment 27.B5 in Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town received gifts presented by officers, soldiers of the regiment and companies and businesses./.
