Meeting with relatives of fallen soldiers of Regiment 27, B5 in Quỳnh Lưu.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 16th, the Liaison Committee of Regiment 27.B5 organized a gathering and meeting for relatives of fallen soldiers of Regiment 27.B5 in Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town.
The 27th Regiment, Battalion B5, was established on February 8, 1968, primarily participating in the fierce fighting on the Quang Tri front. Throughout the years of intense and arduous war, the officers and soldiers of the regiment consistently upheld the qualities of bravery and resilience on all fronts, achieving many glorious victories. In Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town alone, there are 215 martyrs, of whom only over 100 have been brought back to their hometowns and interred in martyrs' cemeteries; the rest remain unaccounted for, and every year, their families anxiously search for their loved ones, hoping to bring them home to rest in peace.
The liaison committee of Regiment 27.B5 organized a gathering and meeting for the families of fallen soldiers with the aim of remembering and paying tribute to the heroic martyrs of the regiment, and to some extent comfort and encourage the families of fallen soldiers to continue contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.
